Learning How to Market My Business While Crashing Through Snow Drifts
With the chance of dying upon me, I had no idea that this moment in my life would later be designed to teach me a lesson that would give me knowledge in online marketing.

Blowing and drifting snow soon produced a "white out." I could no longer see any farm houses and in a short amount of time the drifts started blocking the road. I was in trouble and I knew it. I plowed my way a few drifts trying not to think of the 20 miles that lay ahead of me to the next town. Then it happened, a drift that I knew I couldn't get through, what could I do? I had to stop. Gas tank half full, no water or food, night fall just a couple of hours away and I was wearing inadequate winter clothing. This was bad and I knew it. I called out to ask God for "help."
About three minutes later a massive 4x4 erupted out from the drift in back of me and pulled up beside me. A young man in the truck rolled his window down and hollered, "Follow Us!" An order that didn't need repeating. Every bit of an hour was used to get to town. That massive truck plowing into several drifts a couple of times as it struggled to get through.
What a joy it was to roll into town with these fellas. I thanked them, I thanked God and when I got home I patted my car on the hood and thanked it.
There are a few analogies I would like to excerpt from my experience. It was the opening chapters of Magnetic Sponsoring that made a few things real clear.
First of all we are attracted to leaders who we believe can take us where we want to go. When those fellas came though that drift behind me, I believed he could take me to the next town. When people see you, that is what they are looking for. Do you have the ability to lead them where they need to go?
Secondly the leader must have the equipment necessary for the job. Each of us must start right here. Not having the right equipment will keep us in the position in which we will be doing the following and not the leading. But as soon as we possess the right "equipment" that's when people will follow us. In the networking business our equipment is gaining the right knowledge, giving the right motivation and going the right direction. How long it takes for you to acquire this "equipment"is a question that can be answered by you alone, but it is a question you will have to answer. I found that the shorter the learning curve, the sooner the money flows.
The driver in that truck knew that there were some serious obstacles ahead of us but he met them head on. I can still see the snow flying as he hit those drifts.
Is this how determined you are? Is your destination that clear? Are you willing to hit an obstacle in your path and persist to the other side? Are you willing to care for those that are following you? True leaders have these qualities, it is because of these qualities that a person is worth following.

A little over two years ago I began to look for alternative ways to earn money. This being the age of the internet I of course began my search online. One of the first things I noticed is that there were all sorts of web sites and ads telling me how to earn or make money online. Everything from filling out surveys online, to MLM, to creating websites that earn money. The possibilities were overwhelming and endless.
So how did I come to a conclusion about what I wanted to do? I did some research about the different money making routes available and I finally decided on doing Affiliate Marketing using Google Adwords. The reason I decided on this path was I came across a downloadable e-book called Google Cash by Chris Carpenter. At the time there was an excerpt available that explained how Adwords worked and how I could make money using it.
